Purpose
Takes ownership of project execution, ensuring creative excellence, efficiency, and profitability. Acts as a leader within the production team, enabling Producers while ensuring a balance between operational structure and artistic vision. Plays a key role in building PLAY’s production ecosystem and fostering strong collaboration across teams.You are an early-career, digitally native creative who aspires to produce — culturally curious, ready to experiment with new formats, meticulous about details, and connected to a small network of videographers and digital-first production talent. What you’ll do (Accountabilities)
- Lead projects with accountability for creative excellence and profitability, ensuring each production meets strategic and financial goals.
- Empower Junior Producers and immediate teammates to take ownership of projects while maintaining creative excellence and efficiency.
- Build and nurture a strong team culture, ensuring collaboration and alignment across all productions.
- Act as a bridge between creative vision and operational execution, making sure projects meet high creative standards.
- Ensure that each project contributes to learning and evolution, with structured knowledge-sharing and retrospective processes.
- Develop structured, scalable production methods that enable more consistent and creative outcomes.
- Encourage integration of technology to support creative workflows without overshadowing artistic vision.
- Prototype, test, and ship platform-native formats (TikTok, Reels/Stories, YouTube, OLV, display/DOOH); translate trends into feasible, no-nonsense content.
- Stand up lean production plans and clear timelines in partnership with Art Direction and Account teams; report status/risks early and propose solutions.
- Source, brief, and manage a small collaborator network (videographers, editors, motion designers) to flex capacity as needed.
- Maintain rigorous quality control (QC) before delivery (e.g., specs, naming, brand/legal lines, subtitles/captions, audio loudness, safe margins, packaging for Adstream/Meta/YouTube).
What you’ll bring (Requirements)
- Producer ambition: desire to own more scope and decisions; bias for action and clarity.
- Digital nativity: hands-on with short-form video/motion and platform mechanics; comfortable experimenting with new formats.
- Cultural understanding: sharp feel for audience, moments, and references across communities; you connect dots fast.
- High attention to detail: from frame-accurate edits to filenames, specs, and delivery checklists — nothing slips.
- Small but strong network: a go-to roster of digital-native collaborators you can activate quickly.
- Workflow mindset: familiarity with templates, checklists, light automation/versioning to scale from one master to many variants.
- Tools: working knowledge of Adobe CC (Premiere/After Effects), asset review (e.g., Frame.io), and platform delivery basics; bonus for basic color/audio conform and subtitles/captioning.
- Communication: clear updates, risk flagging, and collaborative problem-solving with Producers, Art Direction, Post/AI Leads, and Account teams.
